Bake Music is now in Melbourne, every second Friday (this time a Saturday) at the Bendigo Hotel. After 3 years of gigs in Brisbane the project has moved south but with the same grounded goal of providing affordable and community based gigs for nights of Music, Beers and Mates. GET ON DOWN TO THE SECOND EVENT IN THIS SERIES - SWAMPY/POST PUNK/SHOEGAZE LINEUP Social Afterparty , the musical project of Will Brereton and Connor Gregurke. Social Afterparty is an explosion of electronic synth waves on top indie rock instrumentals, blended together with sugary pop melodies. Ditching the indie rock roots of their past ‘i don’t want to wait’ the duo take their largest sonic leap yet, swapping raw drum lines and dreamy guitars for a cleaner, sharper and more electronic synthesis of sounds. Phoenix Street draw influence from the creative wellsprings of poetry and philosophy as much as alternative rock and post-punk. Their live performance is literary and loud. Naarm/ Melbourne born post punk band Crashing The Same Car take their shoegaze full sounds to Bake Music’s Fortnightly Fridays @ The Bendi. Box Hill Norths three finest young men have been pouring a dangerous amount of blood sweet and love into new music to share with you (yes, specifically you!)
