A spectre is haunting Australian metal - the spectre of Electric Funeral. All the powers of the old scene have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: promoters and purists, gatekeepers and critics. Where is the band that has not been decried as extreme by its opponents? Where is the band that has not hurled back the branding reproach of extremity against its adversaries? Two things result from this fact: Electric Funeral is already acknowledged by all metal powers to be itself a power. It is high time, that Electric Funeral should openly, after 8 months away, meet this nursery tale of the Spectre of Electric Funeral with a performance by the band themselves. To this end, Electric Funeral will assemble with Raise the Fallen, Oblivion and Grimlock on May 1st - International Workers Day at Bad Decisions Bar. Doors at 7:30pm, music from 8pm.
