Shaped in part by her experience of the 2019 East Gippsland bushfires, the record sits in the tension between devastation and renewal, holding space for grief, longing, and a quiet, determined tenderness toward what remains. There is a deep sense of place woven throughout, as personal histories and environmental realities intertwine, giving the songs both an intimate emotional core and a broader, collective resonance.
