About this gig
Mark Friday the 24 th of April in your calendar if you want to rock out with one of the best up and coming alternative rock bands from the western suburbs on Anzac Day Eve. Get ready for a six-piece spectacle at The Workers Club with Kasem as they launch their debut EP “Left to Repair the World” with very special guests Warburton Street Blues Band and Casino Stepdad. Kasem started as a lunch time ‘smoko’ between two physiotherapists who jammed between clientele for their own ‘therapy.’ Let’s say some additional leave was granted to complete their EP. Anyone finding it difficult to navigate through today’s world will definitely resonate with Kasem’s ear massaging riffs and lyrically driven socio-political rock songs, at the bare minimum. “We want to build a new wave of progressively minded fans.” Fans and listeners can expect a truly eclectic and progressively energetic display of live music as the night unfolds. This will include nineties inspired rock riffs that shaped Kasem’s debut EP, smooth instrumentals from Warburton Street Blues Band and if the night isn’t unique enough, the city's finest washed-out lounge singer will be in the house. Don't miss out, jump on the train (stuff these petrol prices) and come have a beer with us!
